Strathglass Cottage is a charming self-catering cottage accommodation nestled amongst some of the most stunning scenery the Highlands of Scotland has to offer. Glen Strathfarrar, Glen Cannich and Glen Affric are just few minutes drive away and the Cottage is situated only twenty miles from Loch Ness, Inverness and Drumnadrochit.
Strathglass Cottage itself is newly built to a very high standard with solid oak floors throughout, fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, built-in cooker with ceramic hob, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle. The ample sized lounge has a TV with freesat, comfortable seating, a CD player and a radio.There are two bedrooms, one bedroom has a double bed and the other has twin beds. To the front is an enclosed patio area and to the back another enclosed patio with a small grassed area. The garden area is perfectly secure and ideal for dogs as Strathglass Cottage is pet friendly. Strathglass Cottage also has full central heating.
The cottage is perfect for a romantic retreat, or as a base for touring the rest of the Highlands and Islands, including the stunning West Coast and Skye which are both within reach. Strathglass Cottage makes the perfect base for exploring the Munros.
River Glass, with it's wild salmon and trout, is just a few minutes walk away and makes for a lovely view from the cottage. Locally there are countless scenic areas for walkers and cyclists.
Strathglass Cottage is a contemporary oak floored Cottage with two bedrooms, a double at the rear looking up the hill into the pine forest and a twin looking out across the glen to the River Glass and beyond. Both rooms are light and airy with comfortable beds. Downstairs there is a good sized bathroom with a shower, toilet and a wash hand basin. To the rear of the house is a well equipped kitchen with a microwave and to the front a lounge with a leather three piece suite, a flat screen TV and a DVD player. Outside the cottage is a small patio to the front and a larger patio to the rear with a grassed area. The garden area of the Cottage is completely enclosed and secure. Strathglass Cottage boasts plenty of room for off road parking.
For the comfort of all our guests, Strathglass Cottage is a no smoking cottage. Guests are welcome to smoke outside on the patio areas. Heating, electricity, towels and bedlinen are included. Free Wifi is available for light surfing. Due to our location the internet connection is intermittent and can be quite slow!
Strathglass Cottage is a pet friendly Cottage. Pets are welcome by prior consent.
The local area is a haven for walkers and cyclists. The stunning scenery found in the glen and beyond makes for a stunning backdrop. If you are 'munro bagging' then the Cottage is ideally placed with 13 munros close by including Carn Eighe (1181m) and Mam Sadhail (1183m). The River Glass runs close by the Cottage and is a great view from upstairs. It joins with the River Farrar and flows into the River Beauly and boasts great fishing in the beautiful landscape of both salmon and brown trout. The BBC's Winterwatch, Springwatch and Autumnwatch wildlife programmes have been broadcast live from a few miles up the road. Locally we have badgers, deer and abundant birdlife.
The beautiful Glen Affric Nature Reserve and Glen Strathfarrar are arguably some of the most stunning landscape Scotland have to offer. Both are right on the doorstep of Strathglass Cottage. The world famous Loch Ness via Drumnadrochit are a short drive away. As well as the visitor centre there are amazing views around the Loch as well as boat trips. Urquhart Castle is open to tourists. The area boast plenty of golfing opportunities with the Aigas Golf Course a very short drive as well as the courses at Muir of Ord and Castle Stuart Links. Locally, Beauly offers amenities as well as the historic Priory.
The Capital of the Highlands, Inverness, is just a short drive away. The City has it's famous Castle and museum. The Culloden Battlefield lays just outside Inverness as does Fort George. Further afield lays the skiing resort of Aviemore and the stunning Cairngorm National Park. Daytrips to the Orkney Islands run regularly from Inverness. If you want to sample a 'dram' of whisky, the taste of Scotland, then the Glen Ord, Dalmore, Tomatin and Glenmorangie Distilleries are all possible visits from the Cottage.

Make payment of deposit and balance upon receipt of confirmation by either cheque or bank transfer. We will send you the details for you to make your payment.
You are required to pay the total booking price straight away if your arrival date is within 8 weeks of time of booking.
If the start date of your holiday is more than 8 weeks away, you will be required to pay a non refundable deposit of £50 now in order to secure your booking (This will be deducted from the balance due for your stay). The remainder will be due 8 weeks prior to your arrival.
We do our best to re-book your cancelled week, however if we are unable to do so, full payment is required if cancellation is within 8 weeks of your arrival date. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance.
